Hi, I’m Mahan.
This website is a personal space for sharing things I’ve lived through, things I’ve built, things I’ve learned, and probably a few things I’m still trying to figure out.
Hello,
I have no idea when you’re reading this or which part of the world you’re reading it from, but I hope you’re doing well. And if you’re not, I hope life gets a little lighter for you very soon.
Now, a little about me 🙂
As I write this, it’s March 12, 2026. I’m sitting in a study hall in Madrid on a warm day, trying, for what feels like the hundredth time, to finally launch this website and finish what I started.
I’m Mahan. I’m Iranian. And as I write this, my country is being bombed.
I’m 29 years old, and thanks to my ADHD, I’ve managed to fit a wildly unreasonable number of experiences into those 29 years.
I don’t really enjoy talking myself up, and I’ll try not to do too much of that across the rest of this website either. But this page is probably the one place where I get to do a little of it 🙂
I grew up in a family where almost everyone studied medical sciences. I followed the same path at first: I studied dentistry and worked as a dentist in Iran. But alongside that, I was always doing many other things.
I won’t go into every detail and bore you, so here’s the short version of what I’ve done over the last 10 years, just the bigger chapters, so you don’t leave this page thinking, “this guy really loves talking about himself.”
A few things I’ve done over the years
- Research & academia Served for 4 years as the secretary of a dental research committee and published 7 scientific papers in dentistry.
- Building & inventing Invented 2 dental devices and always found myself drawn to creating things, even before I called it “building.”
- Chess Won 2 gold medals in chess, which probably explains a few things about how my brain works.
- Marketing & sales Spent nearly 10 years working in marketing and sales for different companies while studying and working in other fields.
- E-commerce outreach Did telesales and marketing for several e-commerce businesses for a period of time.
- Event leadership Organized a dental congress and served as its executive head.
- Dentistry in practice Worked as a dentist in Iran for about 2 years.
- Founder journey Founded my own company: a marketplace for dental materials and equipment, and also built an online dental education platform.
- Marketing leadership Worked as a marketing manager in multiple companies.
- AI work Built and sold different kinds of AI agents.
- SaaS Built a SaaS product.
- And more... A lot more side quests, experiments, failures, strange turns, and stories for another time.
Over the last 10 years, I’ve failed many times. I’ve had a lot of bad experiments, wrong turns, and unfinished ideas. In some cases, I knew I was failing and kept going anyway, because back then I cared more about gaining experience than looking successful from the outside.
And honestly, I still feel raw. I still have a lot to learn. But I thought maybe sharing the small amount of experience I’ve gathered so far could still be useful.
I know this is the age of AI. I know that with one simple question, you can ask ChatGPT almost anything and get an answer in seconds. I know the golden era of blogging is long gone, and if you’re Gen Z, there’s a fair chance the word blogging already sounds like digital archaeology.
Still, I think if even one person finds something helpful, relatable, or useful here, then this won’t be a waste.
I’ve also always loved writing. Writing, taking notes, and putting thoughts into words helps my brain slow down, settle, and become a little more organized.
And by the way, if you’ve actually read this far, congratulations. You genuinely made me happy.
In short, this is a place where I’ll share both my past experiences and the new things I’m learning now.
To be honest, I don’t really have a monetization plan for this website right now. This project is too personal for me to think about it that way, at least for now. If a few more people get to know me, connect with me, or find something meaningful here, that’s already enough for me.
